Singh Sahib Bhai Jasvir Singh Khalsa, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib has written the biography of 20th century’s great Sikh General and 14th chief of Damdami Taksal, Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Je Khalsa Bhindranwale. Sant Ji’s phenomenal life story, for his childhood through 6th June 1984, has been recorded for posterity in ‘Suhird Sant Khalsa’.

Bhai Jasvir Singh was very close to Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale since childhood. That is why after completing matriculation, Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Ji took him along to Damdami Taksal where he stayed with the Jatha for 4 years. He observed Sant Ji at close quarters and realised he was truly blessed by Kalgidhar Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj as a Subind (sincere) Sant Khalsa and intrepid general whose epithet mirrored his lifestyle. Based on that, Bhai Jasvir Singh penned ‘Surhind Sant Khalsa’ – biography of Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and highlighted aspects of the multifarious personality which had not been written about in other books on Sant Ji.
